Field Applications

Concern over using excess Ag water has forced us to monitor flood irrigation more closely. As you can see from the Oakdale Irrigation District photo it is not difficult to create a hazard (and possible citation) when irrigation water gets out of control.

The Field Water Alarm® minimizes this danger by notifying you when it is time to change your pots or pass the water to the next user. It ends guessing about when and where the water really is in your field. This saves time by reducing trips to monitor irrigation. By mounting the probe in a vertical position it can also monitor pond water should it reach a critical level.¹

¹ Please see the WyreLess Alert web site for a related Jacobson Remotics LLC product that monitors maximum, minimum or constant fluid levels.

Cell phone technology has been adapted by the Field Water Alarm® using the same concept as our 2-way radio units. Radio units have a voice prompt alert with a range of approximately 5 miles and require a line of sight from the transmitter to the hand held receivers. Cell phones have no such limitations.

These units are durable, watertight, portable, user friendly and easy to set up. Both the cell phone and radio units are powered by a sealed 12Volt 7 AMP Hr. rechargeable lead acid battery. All of them come with a 12 Volt-800 mA battery charger.
